Oil Recipes & Mixing

The essential oils usually reinforce their properties when mixing them, which is why I use mixtures almost exclusively.

And also because in their pure state they are usually too intense, I am accustom to dilute them in fatty oil carriers.

It is better to follow a recipe

-As a beginner, the best thing that you can do is to follow the complete instructions of the recipes that are indicated in this book, because to obtain mixtures that are effective at the same time that are pleasant to smell is an art, just like an experienced cook prepares an excellent meal at a high class restaurant. And experience is only acquired with time.

- In the following pages the form is explained of how to compose an aroma following all the rules of this art.

Ingredients and necessary equipment to make mixtures

Before beginning to make these mixtures you will need to have the necessary equipment on hand:

- A cloth to protect the table and absorbent paper (if something spills);
- The essential oils;
- If you are going to make a lotion or a perfume you will also need the necessary carrier oils;
- If it is necessary, a dark colored bottle to protect it from the light;
- Labels, pen and transparent adhesive tape.

Basic Mixtures

-Base for different applications
