Oil of aloe vera
Aloe, a very old remedy
Aloe barbadensis, Clycine max
It is the juice of blended aloe with soy oil.
It has an expiration date. Neutral scent.
Properties: It improves circulation and metabolism, detoxifies, it regulates the degree of humidity of the skin and the cellular regeneration, it has a relaxant effect; it is appropriate for sensitive skins.
Common wormwood oil
Hypericum perforatum, Olea europaea
Soak the yellow flowers of the common wormwood in olive oil; their color is also known as "red oil". It has an expiration date; their scent is sweet, to herbs, and very particular.
Properties: It is an oil with large healing virtues; it disinfects, it stimulates the digestion, it reinforces the immune system and it tranquilizes the nerves and state of anxiety.
Caution: One of the ingredients, the hypericin, increases the sensibility of the skin in the sun light.
Jojoba oil
An oil that in actuality is not an oil
Simmondsia chinensis
It is obtained by the cold press method of the fruits of the plant. In fact it is not an oil, but a liquid wax, of neutral scent that cannot become rancid. It is preserved indefinitely if it stays protected from the light and a maximum temperature of 15 ºC or 59 ºF .
Properties: It is very useful for the care of the skin, since it contains many minerals and vitamins. It is antiallergenic, it regulates the degree of humidity of the skin and it protects the acidic layer. It is adaptable for any skin type and is absorbed quickly. Excellent as an oil base (carrier oil) and for perfumes.
Macadamia nut oil
It takes care of the skin and has a good aroma
Macadamia integrifolia
It is obtained by means of the cold press method of the fruits. It has an expiration date and it smells slightly of nuts.
Properties: Its high percentage in unsaturated fatty acids which makes the organism accept it very well. The skin absorbs it quickly; regenerating it and makes it smooth providing it with a slight shine. It is very appropriate for the skin in the aging phase.
Sweet almond oil
Appreciated for generations
Prunus amygdalus
It is obtained by the first and the second press of the sweet almonds. It has an expiration date. According to the origin it can have a scent more or less like intense nuts.
Properties: It is very rich in unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins, which is why it makes it ideal for the care of the skin and relaxation. Appropriate for any skin type.
Other carrier oils
Note: Also very appropriate for the skin are those immersed with arnica, calendula, carrot seeds and poppy flowers, as well as the olive oils, hazel seeds, apricot seeds, sesame and wheat germ. Some have a very intense and characteristic scent that is not pleasurable for everyone.
