The charm of essential oils
The true mystery of most of the perfumes resides in those "middle tones" of essential oils such as spices and grasses. They produce a stimulating and exciting effect, and this is something that can never hurt a perfume…
Note of spices: oils of spices and grasses
To many aromas they give them an exotic and mysterious touch. A perfume can do without those "fresh notes", but without the erotic aroma of the spices it has lost all its interest.
The spices like coriander, ginger, tonka or cumin provide some of the magic of “a thousand and one nights”.
The essential oils of grasses like tarragon or basil provide a very masculine note.
The ingredients needed for a perfume
You will find them in the pharmacy or in natural cosmetic stores:
@ Dark glass bottles of 10 ml are used to protect the oils from the light, dark glass bottles of 10 ml with ball like those of deodorant, 10 ml of jojoba oil (this preserves very well!), some drops of essential oils,
For shaving lotion or cologne
@ Dark glass bottles of 100 ml are used to protect the oils from the light, 30 ml of alcohol of 90º (for very sensitive skins to use only 10 ml), 70 ml (or 90 ml, according to the case) of water or hydrosol, some drops of essential oils.
The art of mixing
To prepare a perfume it is necessary to begin filling the bottles with jojoba oil and then add the essential oils; for shaving lotions and for cologne mixes you need to mix the essential oils with the alcohol first and then fill with water or hydrosol.
1) If you want to compose an aroma yourself, begin with caution and use a few aromas:
@ Put the base note drop first, then add a drop of middle note, maybe also a spice drop; with the top note being more.
